Immerse yourself in the story of one of the biggest animals ever: the blue whale. Featuring awe-inspiring specimens from a 76-foot model skeleton to the only blue whale heart model, Out of the Depths explores the mysteries of these elusive creatures—and what we can do to save them.

In this amazing exhibition, see the enormous skeleton of a recovered blue whale and discover how blue whales evolved, the size of their hearts, how they communicate, and more of the mind-blowing biology of Earth’s largest animal…ever. Gain insight into the decline of blue whales, what's being done to protect them, and how the Royal Ontario Museum is using DNA to unlock some of their secrets.

Highly visceral, the exhibition includes interactive and multisensory experiences, informative graphics, and compelling AV content that tells the blue whale story and speaks to current scientific research and whale conservation.
